Kid Lit Author
My first picture book manuscript evolved out of a real life story of my multigenerational and multicultural home. I have been honing my craft and developing my voice as a writer for children’s literature that nurture confidence, compassion, and consciousness in readers.
As I grow my portfolio of manuscripts exploring intergenerational relationships, Caribbean cultural traditions, migration, local history, and identity, I am actively seeking agent representation in the traditional publishing process.
We are all storytellers.
I love to craft my own stories, steward the incredible breadth of currently published children's books, and give children the tools to create their own stories — seeing themselves as authors and illustrators in the process. We are all storytellers!
Contact me to lead a multisensory and interactive storytime, curate a library of children's literature, organize a classroom visit for a behind-the-scenes look into the process of children's book publishing, or inquire about local literary resources for children and families!
